A harpist for over twenty years, Candace Li Volsi began her
professional career in Southern California, where she received her
Bachelor of Arts degreein Music Performance from the University
of Redlands. She has performed with the Redlands Symphony
Orchestra, Riverside County Orchestra and San Bernardino Civic
Light Opera and has toured England, Scotland and Wales with the
Friendship Ambassadors. She has also performed musical theatre in
Southern California as well as the West Bay Opera, Master Sinfonia,
Philharmonia Baroque in San Francisco area. Currently, she is
principal harpist with the North State Symphony as well as the
Juneau Symphony Orchestra, Juneau Alaska.
Making her home in Redding, California, with her husband and
two children, Candace’s light-heartedness, formal education and
impressive career, make her a much sought-after harp teacher. She
has recently recorded a cd and music video with Merle Haggard
for tv and radio. She also arranged, composed and recorded music
for a 9/11 documentary that is now at the Smithsonian Institute in
Washington D.C. Candace has graced the beautiful North Valley
with the lush sounds of the harp music for concerts, weddings,
ceremonies, restaurants, parties, and corporate events."
